School Visits
PRIMARY
Classes of up to 35 pupils at any one time accommodated.
Five museum volunteer guides will be on duty.
Children are divided into groups that rotate simultaneously around five exhibition points.
A volunteer will be waiting to explain what is to be seen in each location.
Twelve minutes is allocated at each location then a few minutes to change to the next place.
Around 1 hour is sufficient.
A teacher’s guide can be emailed prior to visit.
Quiz work sheets for class to use at school after the visit provided.
It is a great advantage to have an adult to shepherd each group.
CHARGE is $6 per pupil – no charge for teachers and accompanying parents.

Illustrated panels cover many of the diverse early industries of the area.
Hands-on objects and a model of the first stage of the Fitzroy Iron Works
The Berrima District Historical Society Museum offers a WWI exhibition with a difference - the stories of men and their families far from their home country who were detained in Berrima as enemy aliens for the duration of the war.
Volunteer guides in attendance.
Work sheets are available upon request.
CHARGE is $6 per pupil – no charge for teachers and accompanying parents.
